In 2015, all United Nations member states adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, for now and in the future. At the heart of this agenda lie the Sustainable Development Goals, an urgent call for action from all countries to create a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
The Teshie Foundation works with local community projects to provide necessary support to maximise the benefits. By adopting a holistic approach, we aim to contribute to as many SDGs as possible. The overall aim of The Teshie Foundation is to alleviate poverty, which in turn shall reduce hunger, increase health and well being and ensure that children can access a quality education. Through rigorous safeguarding, protectionist and inclusive policies we ensure that all opportunities are safe and equal.
